Dog Show results of the youngsters 2013

Iosono Champagne

Our Sienna started her show career in April 2013 at the age of 20 months. She attended nine shows and gained "certificate quality" every time.

The highlight of the summer was when Sienna won her father Lucky twice during the same weekend by winning the breed. Sienna also won the best female title at the specialty show for Cirnecos (Club Show, 30 Cirnecos). At the age of 2 years and 3 days she gained her Champion title.

Iosono Cherubino

Young Aatos was already successful at the dog shows last year when he was the the 2nd best male in Finland.

During the year 2013 he has participated in eight shows and gained certificate quality seven times. He has won 6 CACs and 4 CACIBs in Finland and Latvia in 2013. He gained the Champion title at the age of 2 years and 2 days.

Iosono Classico

Indi, the litterbrother of Sienna & Aatos, has been shown only twice during 2013.

Both times he gained certificate quality and the highlight of the year was when Indi was the runner up male (2n best male) in the Cirneco specialty 2013!

Iosono Una Meraviglia

Beautiful Vilna is our keeper from the latest Cirneco litter of ours. Vilna is only one year old and she has attended three dog shows. She has gained every time certificate quality that is not an easy thing for a junior here in Finland!

Iosono Uno di Noi

Gorgeous Tito is Vilna's litter brother. He has been shown six times and he has gained excellent quality five times. The absolute highlight of his career is his Best of Breed win and Best in Junior-4 win out of 80(!!!) best of breed juniors at the age of 9 months. Tito was also the best Junior Male in the Cirneco Specialty.

Iosono Universo

Beautiful Venti has also been shown in Helsinki area as junior. After seven shows he has gained six excellents, 3 CACs and 1 res-CAC.

Venti was only 11 months old when he gained his first Best of Breed win and at the same time Group-4 placement! Group placements with the Cirnecos are quite rare here in Finland as FCI 5 group usually consists best of breed winners from 30-40 different breeds.

Hi folks. Sorry that I haven't updated this English blog for a while. I have mainly kept updating our Finnish homepages. Some dog show, agility, track racing or lure coursing updates in English can be seen on our Facebook site but mostly our FB site is for photos. :-)

Vaasa International Dog Show

Our third show this year and the first dog show of Sienna.

The Cirnecos were judged by Marie Gadolin from Sweden. Lucky was Best Male as usual and Sienna won her class with CQ which meant that she was the best female with cac and cacib! In the Best of Breed ring Lucky won and his daughter became Best of Opposite Sex. What a nice start for Sienna's show career!

Show year started

Lucky

It's already April (and still winter here in Finland...) and no blog posts since January. I am truly sorry for the long break. The beginning of the year has been very busy - mostly at work and private life.


Dog shows

Last year was successful as our Lucky del Borgo di Pratica was awarded the Most Winning Cirneco in Finland a second year in a row. Lucky's young son Aatos, Iosono Cherubino, co-owned by us, was the second winning male. Also, we got very nice success to our other Cirnecos as well.

So, this has been a pretty lazy year so far if you count our participation in the dog events. We have participated only in two dog shows and three agility competitions this year.

The first show we attended was held at the end of January - Turku International Dog Show 20.01.2013. We had only Lucky there and he gained Best of Breed with his 14th CACIB under judge Rudi Brandt.

The second show - Latvian Winner Show - was held on Easter 31.03.2013, and we drove from Helsinki to Riga, Latvia. We had two dogs with us - our Sienna's parents Lucky and Peppi (Iosono Deja Vu). A record number of the Cirnecos was entered (in the Baltics); eight Cirnecos. Lucky managed to win Best of Breed with his 15th CACIB and he gained his International and Latvian championship as well as Latvian Winner 2013 title. Peppi was Best of Opposite and also she gained new three titles (International & Latvian Champion and Latvian Winner 2013). So it couldn't have gone better! But the success didn't end here as in the group competition Gerard Jipping from the Netherlands gave the red rosette to Lucky which meant that Lucky won the Group!

Agility

Tosca (Iosono Diamante) gave birth to her first litter in July which meant that we had to keep a long pause from agility. We returned to agility competition on January the 5th after eight months of break. And guess what. Out of 30 dogs Tosca and me went to third place with a clean run result!!! The second agility competition was held on February the 3rd and once again, our result was a clean run and third place in the competition out of 30 dogs. The third competition was held February 9 and again a clean run and our placement was 8th  (it was an easy track and many dogs got clean runs). Now we are having a break (again) and we are hopefully getting back to competitions at the end of April.

Puppies

We are hopefully expecting Italian Greyhound puppies to be born in May out of Ch Northgate's Midnight Fantasy - Ch Iosono Fiamma.

Our next Cirneco dell'Etna litter is planned in autumn.

The weekend couldn't have been any better.

Inka also showed Lucky's Wales' born daughter Anharbn's Tango to Best Female 3rd and res-CACIB.

In the group finals Lucky was shortlisted among the 8 best out of over 40 dogs by Giuseppe Alessandra.
